Main Functions

Recommends RBC unit cryopreservation

Recommends the degree of typing for a specific donor
(whether RBCs should be phenotyped in addition to ABO, Rh, and Kell for Kidd, Duffy, MNS, and other blood groups) -
Identifies donor phenotypes that are in strong demand for both planned and emergency transfusions (based on seven ABO, RhD, K, C/c, E/e antigens)

Identifies rare blood types and antigen combinations
(i.e., E-e-, C-c-, Jk(a-b-), M-N-) -
Creates individual IHF donor profile
